Obituary


Juliette A. Antoniades, 94, of Salem, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday evening, October 2nd, 2019.
She was the loving wife of Basil (Bill) Antoniades, with whom she would have celebrated 71years of marriage on October 17th.

Born in South Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Omer Gauthier and Aurore (Poussard) Gauthier. She attended St. Joseph’s School, and then worked at Pelletier Shade, General Electric and Naumkeag Chevrolet, after which she raised three children with her husband, Bill. She returned to work at the Laboratory for Clinical Medicine in Lynn for 25 years before retiring at the age of 77.

Juliette was a devoted daughter, wife and mother, always putting others ahead of herself. She loved gardening, cooking, playing cards and Words With Friends. She also enjoyed trips to visit her daughter and family on the West Coast. She took a keen interest in the activities of her six grandchildren, and is also great grandmother of seven, and great-great grandmother of two.

Juliette is survived by her husband, Bill, children, Elaine Blanchette and her husband Ron, Normand Antoniades and his wife Donna, Michelle Sanchez and her husband John; Grandchildren Christopher Blanchette, Daniel Blanchette, Rachel (Blanchette) Kelley, John Bishop, Rebekah Sanchez and Olivia Sanchez; Great Grandchildren include Stephanie, Haley, Madison, Jadon, Robert, Joshua, and Jackson, Great Great Grandchildren are Kiyah and Gabrielle. She is also survived by brothers Robert Gauthier of Peabody and Donald Gauthier of Danvers and sisters Dolores Ercha of Nashua, NH, and Gloria Hinton of Manchester, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by siblings Rita, Norman and Omer (Pete) Gauthier.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [ Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Monday at 8:45 A.M. to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
