Judith "Judy" Asbury, 86, of Chesterfield, IN, died peacefully on September 27, 2019, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born on February 25, 1933, in Anderson, to Eugene and Ethel Eglen, who preceded her in death as did her brother, Larry Eglen.
She graduated from Anderson High School and worked at Delco Remy in Personnel for 28 years.
She was married to Ellis "Bud" Asbury for 65 years and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Becky, two sons, Greg (Donna) of Cape Coral, FL and Mike of Ft. Wayne; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two nieces.
She was active in her community, attended Chesterfield Christian Church and was a founding member and organizer of the Millcreek Association. She enjoyed spending time with family, knitting, reading, cultivating her flowers and playing Dominos with the ladies of Chesterfield.'
The family would like to thank the staff from Markle Health and Rehabilitation for the love and care they showed her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a Humane Society chapter, as she never met a dog she didn't like.
The family is considering a celebration of Life at a later date.
A private burial was held at East Maplewood Cemetery.
