Obituary

Ulanda Lucille "Lucy" (Guffey) Flatt, 88, of Anderson died September 30, 2019 at her residence after a brief illness.
She was born August 4, 1931 in Seymour, the daughter of Benjamin Guffey and Nora (Hiten) Gorbett.
From 1978-2005, she was the co-owner of Char-Lu Lounge and ran the Alibi on 53rd Street with her husband, Charles. She attended Florida Station Church of God. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, working in her flower beds, crafts, making jewelry, crocheting, music, dancing and traveling.
She is survived by her two daughters, Shelia Devore and Selina (Bill) Huston ; step-daughter, Charlene (Rex) Butcher; four brothers, Steve (Donna) Gorbett, Danny (Vicki) Gorbett, Everett (Vickie) Gorbett and Rick (Dorothy) Gorbett; seven grandchildren, Victoria (Jose) Davis-Padron; Ryan Devore; Tera (Mario) Ramirez; Kayla (Alex) Marquez; Christopher (Megan) Huston; Marcy Butcher and Amanda Butcher; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles W. Flatt and her brother, Melvin Hinton.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joby and Tina for their loving care.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 2 to 3 p.m. with the service at 3 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
