Obituary

Marcelle I. (Racine) Kirouac, 100 of New Bedford died peacefully September 26, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Fernand A. Kirouac.
Born in Windsor, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late J. Arthur and Irene (DeSorcy) Racine, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School, Class of 1936.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church and the former St. Anne's Church, and was a member of the Saint Anne's Guild. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Joseph's Church in New Bedford.
Mrs. Kirouac was formerly employed by the Acushnet Company for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include 3 brothers, Rene Racine of Acushnet, Robert Racine and Deacon Leo Racine, both of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Blanche Pedro of Marion, Helen Aubut of New Bedford, and Pauline Wade of Alexandria, VA; and 10 Godchildren, Pauline, Therese, Claudette, Irene, Amy, Michael, Richard, Marc, Robert and Thomas.
She was the sister of the late Paul Racine, Fernand Racine, Attorney Lionel Racine and Marie Lorraine Racine.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, September 30th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, September 29th from 4-7 PM.
