TEWKSBURY – Bradford “Eric” Schofield, age 53, a Plaistow businessman, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, September 24, at his Tewksbury home, after a courageous years long battle with Diabetes. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Cheryl Ann (Bodwell) Schofield, with whom he had celebrated a twenty-seventh wedding anniversary this past November 24th.
He was known to his friends and family as “Eric,” and was one of four children of Dolores Ann (McFarland) Hart and her husband, Eric’s step-father, Ellsworth Hart of Sun City Center, FL, and of the late Frank “Fred” Schofield, born in Waltham and raised in Hudson, MA. He graduated from Hudson High School. He and Cheryl lived in Waltham and Lowell before settling in Tewksbury twenty-years ago.
He co-founded and operated the Video Game Exchange retail store in Plaistow, NH, and enjoyed boating in his cabin cruiser during his free time.
Besides his wife, mother and step-father, he leaves a son, Justin T. Schofield and his partner Alyia Rivers of Kissimmee, FL; siblings, Jeffrey A. Schofield and his wife Maryann of Plainville, MA, Pamela J. Caverly and her husband Glen of Statesville, N.C., and Douglas Schofield and his partner Gerald of Franklin, NH; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Ralphie.
Visiting hours Friday, Sept. 27, from 4:30 until 8:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.
