Obituary

BUXTON- Daniel Amie Jordan, age 54, passed away on Sept. 22, 2019.
He was born in Westbrook on March 12, 1965, a son of Thomas Jordan Sr. and Sylvia (Daniels) Dow who resides in Buxton. Dan attended Bonny Eagle High School and graduated from Lakes Region High School in 1983. Afterward, Dan went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force. Most recently, Dan had been employed as a draftsman for Collins Engineers in Portsmouth.
Dan cherished time with family and friends and had a gift for catching every event on camera. He had a fine eye for capturing the perfect shot, saw beauty in every facet of his world and an incredible ability to make the most mundane object into a work of art. His creativity extended to a lifetime hobby of rebuilding and customizing cars with his friends. He didn’t miss a car show and took detailed photos of antique cars and hotrods. In addition, his skill at creating graphic designs on his computer enhanced any project he was working on.
Once Dan was diagnosed with cancer, he was overwhelmed by the amazing support of his friends, family and peers as they joined him on his difficult journey to fight the cancer that ravaged his body. He was humbled by the generosity, digital support, letters, cards and personal visits from friends and family as far away as Texas and Florida. He established a link to a website where people could purchase his pictures on Tote Bags, Canvas, blankets, Coffee Mugs etc. where some of the proceeds came to him and the response was fantastic. He would want all of his fellow travelers on his last journey to know how much he appreciated all the love and support and donations that he received.
Dan is predeceased by his father- Thomas Sr.; and recently by a brother- Paul Jordan.
He is survived by his beloved wife- Catherine (Beach) Jordan; children- Paul Jordan of Buxton and Alexandra Jordan of South Portland; his mother- Sylvia Dow; siblings- Thomas Jordan Jr. of Hollis and Helena Jordan of Hollis; and a sister in law- Jessica Jordan of Buxton
