West Baldwin - Laura Lee Sargent, 52, of West Baldwin died on September 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Long Beach, CA. on July 2, 1967 a daughter of David and Linda (Ash) Sargent and was educated in local Maine schools.
Laura was a homemaker her entire life. She also was a very accomplished seamstress and loved sewing. She opened several consignment shops selling her crafts as well as other things. She also loved berry picking and cooking. Laura had a great love for music, especially country and western. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who loved her.
She is predeceased by a brother, David Sargent Jr. who passed earlier this year. Surviving is her father, David Sargent Sr. of West Baldwin. Her mother, Linda Ash of Portland. Her children: Daniel Sargent of Fryeburg, Angel Sargent of Waterford, and Nate Rogers and wife Victoria of Fryeburg. 3 grandchildren: Wyatt Delancy, Noah Jordan and Maryjane Sargent. Also a brother, Christopher Sargent of Gorham, a sister, Saundra Sargent of Hiram, and a large, loving extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28, at 11 a.m. at the New West Baldwin Cemetery (near the town hall). Arrangements are by Poitras, Neal and York Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at: www.mainefuneral.com
