Ruth McQuade, of Andover, died peacefully at her home of 60 years, surrounded by her loving family on Friday evening, September 20, 2019. She was 86 years old.
Born in Narragansett, RI, Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. McQuade. They met at the University of Rhode Island where Ruth was employed and Bob was a student. Ruth was the love of his life. Ruth was a longtime member of West Parish Church and enjoyed the many friendships made as a member of the Women’s Evening Circle.
Family was the most important part of Ruth’s life. She found true joy in spending time with her four children, eight grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, as well as the many rescue dogs that were part of her family.
Ruth will be deeply missed by her son Barry and his wife Terry McQuade of Andover, her daughters Marcia and her husband Mike Salvatore of Londonderry, New Hampshire, Carla and her husband James Blackwell of North Andover, Amy and her husband Robert Buck of Salem, NH, brother Kenneth Wright of Florida, and her grandchildren; Anthony and Nicholas Salvatore, Tiana McQuade Bruno and her husband Larry, Micayla McQuade, Jonathan Blackwell and his fiancé Mikayla Perri, Colin Blackwell, Amanda and Ryan Buck and great granddaughter Everly Bruno. Ruth was an active and cherished part of their lives.
Her Memorial Service will be celebrated in the Chapel at West Parish Church, 210 Lowell Street, Andover, MA on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
