Obituary

Michael A. Palangio, age 69 of Brockton, left this world at 5 am on November 2, 2018 at Baypointe Rehabilitation Center of acute respiratory failure, to ride with the angels. He was the son of the late Michael and Jennie (Colaneri) Palangio. Mike was born in Hartford, CT on April 10, 1949. Shortly after his dad passed away, he and Ma moved to Brockton where he attended and graduated from the Brockton Trade School.

Mike loved the 50’s - the music, the movies, the style, the cars, and of course Creature Double Feature. He loved showing off his ‘51 Ford at Thursday cruise night in Raynham, Fridays in Halifax, the Camaro Club Show at DeSantis, Ty-Rod’s, Martha’s Vineyard with the Boston Area Roadsters, the Brockton Holiday Parade, and an annual weekend at the Flea Market in Mansfield. He also loved his Harley- rides to Laconia, Weirs Beach, the races, the girls, and riding the Black Hills in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Mike loved to eat as much as he loved to cook, and he made his spaghetti sauce the way Ma cooked it. He was proud of being Italian and passed many an afternoon “to ooze in the sun”.

He was respectful to Ma and her memory, and a faithful friend to those he called his friends. Whether hanging at Les Lucier’s, the Garage, The French Club, or the 49ers, “Angel” was known as a good friend with a warm heart.
He is survived by many loving friends.

A Graveside Service will be held in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11am.
