On September 16, 2019 Peter P. Arena, loving Father of three children and Grandfather of seven Grandsons, passed away at the age of 83.
Peter proudly served in the United States Army. Peter also owned his own hair salon, The Head Quarters, in South Weymouth. He and his customers enjoyed watching college sports, playing cribbage, drinking coffee and, of course, his patrons received the finest hairstyles in the area.
Peter is survived by his three children: Peter Arena, his wife, Tiffany, and their two sons, Christopher and Matthew of Mountville PA - Paul Arena, his wife, Dorothy, and their two sons, Joseph and Thomas of Whitman MA - Geni Sidoti, her husband, Frank, and their three children; Evan, Sean and Eric of Hanover MA. Peter also leaves behind a Brother, James Arena; his sister, Marcella and a Brother-In-Law, Carmen/Charlie Accolla and his sister, Anna Marie Rosenberg as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Peter’s one passion was the ocean, Horseneck Beach, in particular. Horseneck was his piece of heaven on earth and there he enjoyed swimming and body surfing. Peter truly loved his family and was his happiest when he spent a day at Horseneck beach with those he loved. His other interests included; working on puzzles, gardening and watching movies.
A Mass in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at The Holy Ghost Church in Whitman at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Parkinson’s Disease Association: apdaparkinson.org
