Priscilla Edgecomb
Lifelong Member of Tewksbury Congregational Church

TEWKSBURY: Priscilla (Carter) Edgecomb, age 85, a resident of North Billerica for 39 years, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington.

Born in Lowell on May 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John P. Carter and the late Margaret “Florence” (Doucette) Carter.

Priscilla was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1952.

She was a lifelong member of Tewksbury Congregational Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Group.

Priscilla resided in Tewksbury until moving to Billerica in 1980.

She enjoyed family gatherings and the fellowship of her church community.

Priscilla is survived by her children, Robert D. Edgecomb of Billerica, Karen L. Ford and her husband John of Loudon, NH, Pamela S. Marshall and her husband John S. Marshall, III of Lowell, Andrew J. Edgecomb of Wake Forest, NC, Sandra A. Rivera of Lowell, and Laura J. Sciortino and her husband Paolo of Billerica; grandchildren, Thomas O. Ford and his fiancée Jenna (Sheehan), Christine McCarthy and her husband Bill (William), Jennifer S. Marshall, John S. Marshall, IV, James D. Rivera, Dennis P. and Danny J. Edgecomb, Joseph Sciortino and his fiancée Casey Giordano, Nicholas, C. and Gina R. Sciortino; siblings, Pauline Bagby of Tewksbury and Charles R. Carter of Englewood, FL; sisters-in-law, Margaret Carter and Marsha Carter; also many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She also leaves behind her lifelong best friend, considered her sister, Barbara Driscoll.

Priscilla was the mother of the late Dennis P. Edgecomb, grandmother of the late Sean T. Casey, sister of the late Helen I. Gray, Daniel P. Carter, Richard A. Carter, John E. Carter, and Frank E. Carter, and sister-in-law of the late Charles Gray, Blanche E. (Hardy) Carter, and Sarah M. “Middy”(Edwinson) Carter.

Calling hours are Sunday, September 22, from 2-5 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held in the funeral home. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery will be at a later date. At Priscilla’s request, please Omit Flowers.
