Obituary

LOWELL—Kenneth G. Hebert, 52 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 17th, at his home in Lowell.

He was born in Lowell, on March 13, 1953, a son of the late Romeo J. and Jeannette R. (Joncas) Hebert, and was a graduate of the Lowell Public School System. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Hebert worked for many years as a laborer for the International Carpenters Union, Local # 429. In his youth, he fought in the Silver Mittens, under Bill LaPointe, from 1964 to 1966. He played for the AYO Senior Baseball League, and was a member of the Boys Club. He also participated in the Upward Bound Program.

Surviving him are a son: Kenneth Souleotis, of Chelmsford; a daughter: Tara Souleotis, of Chelmsford; ten brothers and sisters and their spouses: Ruth and Charles Hurlburt, of Westboro; Raymond and Eileen Hebert, of Haverhill; Joseph and Mary Jane Hebert, of Lowell; Dennis Hebert, of Hudson, NH; Janet Hebert and Ken Blydenburgh, of South Hampton, NY; Normand and Nancy Hebert, of Haverhill; Armand and Cathy Hebert, of Lowell; Allison and David John, of Auburn; Edward and Lisa Hebert, of Milford, NH; and Cathy and Michael Heckman, of Worcester; 36 nieces and nephews; 22 grand nieces and grandnephews; also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM Friday, January 20th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte.38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Saturday, January 21st, at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
