Obituary

Donald W. Lavalle 75, of Needham died on Tuesday January 17, 2006 at his home. Born in Cambridge Mr. Lavalle grew in Cambridge. In 1951 Mr. Lavalle enlisted with U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his tour in the service he went to work for the town of Needham in the Sewer Department. He was the foreman for the department and retired in 1995 after 32 years of service. Don was a former member of the Village Club of Needham. Don was the loving father of Donald W. Lavalle Jr. of Mansfield, Anna M. Lavalle of Franklin and George S. Lavalle of Needham. Brother of John Lavalle of Medford, Carol Smelstor of Lowell, Margaret Tanko of FL and Shirley Dedrick of Medford. Grandfather of Kimberly Kosmenko of Boulder, CO and Bryan Kosmenko of Woonsocket RI. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Saturday January 21st at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 PM. Interment services with Military Honors will take place at Needham Cemetery.
