Garrod and his wife Donna of Newport, Maine. Grandmother of Stacey, Greg, Amanda, Sarah and Victoria Garrod and Nicole and Patrick D’Agostino. Also survived by three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 9am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. E. Lillian Garrod, 71 years, of Brockton died Tuesday at her home after a period of failing health. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late William F. and Alice (McIntee) Quirk, she was raised in Roxbury and was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Parochial School. Lillian had been employed for eight years in the Cafeteria of the Boston Globe Newspaper and for 27 years at the Brockton VA Medical Center as a Dietician/Cook, retiring in 1995 as a cook. She enjoyed knitting, Bingo, camping, traveling with friends and bowling. She had been a member of the Maple Alleys Women’s Bowling League and had been a resident of Brockton since 1969.
She is survived by three sons Paul M. Garrod Jr., Steven D. Garrod both of Brockton and Wayne M. Garrod of Newport, Maine, one daughter Cheryl A. D’Agostino of Brockton, seven grandchildren, Stacey, Greg, Amanda, Sarah and Victora Garrod and Nicole and Patrick D’Agostino, three great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, two sisters Mary Hardiman of North Reddington Shores, FL, and Dorothy Columbare of Boca Raton, FL, two brothers Robert Quirk of Apache Junction, AZ and Thomas Quirk of Austin, TX. She was the former wife of the late Paul M. Garrod Sr. and sister of the late William and John Quirk.
