Obituary

EFFINGHAM- Roger Lawrence Nutter, age 87, passed away on Sept. 6, 2019 in Rochester, NH
He was born in Effingham, NH on Aug. 25, 1932, a son of the late Ralph and Ethel (Edwards) Nutter.
After graduating high school, Roger went on to proudly serve in the US Army in the Korean War.
After the war, he went on to work in the construction field. He was self-employed for many years with his excavating business. He concluded his working years with Pike Industries prior to retiring.
He enjoyed operating his wood processer and playing cards – especially the game whist with friends.
Roger was a member of the VFW and the Carroll County Fire Wardens.
He is predeceased by his siblings- Harvey and Roy Nutter, and Dorothy Rogers.
Roger is survived by a sister- Mina Colcord of Plaistow, NH; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday Sept. 15 from 1 – 2 PM at the South Effingham Church, Province Lake Road, followed by a funeral service at 2 PM at the church. Burial will follow at Center Effingham Cemetery.
