Joyce Earlene (Sallee) Oren, 80, Chesterfield, died unexpectedly on September 2, 2019 at St. Vincent Anderson.
Joyce was born February 23, 1939 in Muncie, the daughter of William J. and Alma (Clark) Sallee. She was a homemaker and secretary at Chesterfield Community Church of God where she attended.
Joyce was a member of The Euchre "Club" Girls. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, sewing and crafting. She was a very good cook. Joyce loved spending time with family, especially her sisters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Albert "Tom" Oren of Chesterfield whom she married June 17, 1957 in Parker City, Indiana; her three children, Cheryl Ann Oren of Indianapolis, Eric Lee (Sandy Gruwell) Oren of Yorktown and Erin Jay (Andrea Amos) Oren of Pendleton; three sisters, Mary (Vernon) Goodpastor of Yorktown; Evelyn (Luzern) Guthrie of Bedford and Sylvia Taflinger of Muncie; five grandchildren, Brooke (Jason) Greer, Baylee, Karlie, Morgan and Mackenzie Oren; two great granddaughters, Hallie and Abigail Greer and great grandson, Kingston Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, niece Cindy Goodpastor and a half brother, Rufus Sallee.
Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Chesterfield Community Church of God with burial at Union Cemetery in Windsor. Visitation will be from 11 am until the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Chesterfield Community Church of God.
