Marie T. (Lang) Haslam, age 93, passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2019 at the Willimansett Center West Nursing Home. She was born on March 14, 1926 in Newark, NJ, a daughter of the late Walter F. and Marie D. (Kohler) Lang. Marie worked for Johnson’s Book Store in Springfield for over 20 years. She is predeceased by her husband Richard A. Haslam, who passed away in 1999. She is survived by her 2 sons, Richard A. Haslam of Vietnam and James C. Haslam of Chicopee; 1 daughter, Nancy E. Kerbs and her husband Lenny of Valley Center, CA, 5 grandchildren Matthew, Kaitlin, Sarah, Karen and Daniel along with 6 beloved great grandchildren, James, Alissandra, Kenzie, Duke, Redding and Jordyn. She is predeceased by her brothers Walter and Raymond Lang. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Willimansett Center West for the special care they had shown during her stay. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery.
