Obituary

Jeanette M. Mili (Pappalardo) passed away peacefully at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Friday evening. She was 86. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Speranza) Pappalardo. At an early age, Jeanette studied dance and toured during her high school years with the famed ballerina, Harriet Hoctor. She also led the Somerville High School Band as the Drum Majorette. As a young adult she and her sister operated the Winter Hill Dance Studio. Once married she and her husband Anthony settled in Medford to raise their family. Jeanette was a devoted wife and mother who spent her time caring for her family. She was an active member of the former Sacred Heart Parish in Medford’s Hillside and was active at the Hillside School PTA. In her later years she developed a strong bond with her grandchildren, whom she cherished.

The beloved wife of Anthony Mili, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage, she was a devoted mother to Deborah Donnaruma and her husband Anthony of Medford and Sharon Eaton of Dracut. She was a loving grandmother to Brandon, Alexis and her husband Ryan, Rebecca, Tyler, Victoria and Blake. She was a loving great-grandmother to Maddox and Declan Eaton. She leaves her dear sister Margaret Driscoll and is predeceased by her siblings, John “Bucky” Pappalardo, Anthony “Lefty” Pappalardo, Phyllis Pignone, Emilio Pappalardo, Alfred Pappalardo, Josephine Imbornone, Eleanor Recina, Lillian Ferullo, Edward Pappalardo, and William Pappalardo. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, September 4th from 4 – 8 PM and again on Thursday morning, September 5th at 10 with a procession to Saint Raphael Church for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
