SHAPLEIGH- Matthew M. Heon, age 41, passed away on Aug. 30, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Willimantic, CT on Aug. 27, 1978 and attended Windham Christian Academy and Bonny Eagle schools.
Over the years, Matthew has worked as stone mason, floor installer, and was known by all as a jack-of-all-trades and handiman.
Matthew was an athlete and especially enjoyed playing basketball. Music was also a very special part of his life. He played the drums and guitar and was a fan of classic rock from musicians such as Led Zepplin. He also enjoyed, camping, his cats, gardening, and swimming at Hiram Falls.
Matthew will always be remembered as a loving and generous soul who was always willing to offer a helping hand to others.
He is survived by his daughter- Willow Sitton of Limington; his parents- Ken and Linda Gardner of Limington; siblings- Amber Milo and her husband John Jr. of Limington, Jennifer Houston and her husband Gareth of Scotland, UK, Justin Gardner and his wife Amanda of Limington, and Katie Gardner of Bangor; maternal grandparents- Donald and Joyce Whitney of Limington; his longtime partner- Julie Neal and her family, Tyler, Dakota, Saige, Gary Ribble and Ron Sidebotham; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday morning, Sept. 6, at 11 AM at the Limerick Free Baptist Church, 2 Sokokis Trail North, Limerick. Burial will follow at Limington Village Cemetery.
