Life Long Resident of Stoughton
STOUGHTON - Constance A. (Ames) Fobes, 90 of Stoughton, wife of the late Howard L. Fobes, died at home on Thursday after a long illness.
Born in Dorchester, the daughter of the late Herbert W. and Bertha L. (Crowther) Ames. She graduated from Stoughton High School and attended the former Leland Power School of Boston
She worked for many years at the former J.W. Woods Elastic Web Co. as a secretary. She was also a teachers aide at the E.A. Jones school in Stoughton.
She was a member of the First Parish Universalist Church of Stoughton and a member of the church’s Parish Club. She liked line dancing and instructed at the church held classes. She had also been an organist at the former Methodist church in No. Stoughton.
She is survived by one son; Jeffrey A. Fobes of Stoughton, two daughters; Christina Fobes of Randolph and Cynthia L. Seaman of Painesville, OH. Also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton on Tuesday Nov. 20, at 12:15 p.m. Also a Memorial service will be held on Tuesday Nov. 20, at 4 p.m. in the First Parish Universalist Church, Stoughton Center. The Rev. Jeffrey Symynkywicz, Pastor, officiating
