Dorothy Ellen Hopper Glenn passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at The Bostonian Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 12, 1935 to Robert Sr. and Docia Hopper in Shelby, NC.
She was the proud mother of 5 children, grandmother of 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She enjoyed time spent with them. She especially enjoyed her grandson Artie taking her to Olive Garden or treating her to her favorite, Fried Chicken!
Dorothy was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Prior to moving into a nursing home, she enjoyed sharing the Bible’s message and Christian literature outside her home to passersby from her mobile chair.
Her warm smile and lively sense of humor will be missed by all who know and love her.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a drop-in visitation Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Casper Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Her Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 211 Humboldt Avenue, Dorchester, MA, 02121.
