Joseph Matarazzo passed away peacefully on Sat. Aug. 24, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born and grew up in East Boston. He was the youngest son of Amato and Margaret Matarazzo. He was predeceased by his brother Domenic and sister Lucy Lybrand, along with his grandson Jeffrey. He leaves behind his three children, Robert and his wife Dine of Ludlow, MA, Anthony and his wife Stella of East Bridgewater, MA and Christine Ford and her husband Dave of Warwick, RI. In addition he leaves his grandchildren, Rebecca, Amy, Kimberly and Connor. He will be remembered as a devoted father and Staff Sgt in the Air Force for 21 Years., later in life he became a spiritual person and much of his time was spent preaching and talking about his faith and the hope he had in the future. A memorial talk will be held this Friday, Aug. 30, at 6:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 113 Old Lyman Rd, Chicopee, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the JW.org or Beacon Hospice. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
