Donald B. Teixeira, a 5 year resident of Malden and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham. He was 76 years of age.
Donald was born in Boston on June 27, 1943, a son of the late Joseph C. Teixeira and June R. (Bradford) Teixeira. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated throughout the Boston Public School system. Donald enlisted into the United States Army on October 1, 1962 and served his country faithfully and with honor during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged on July 25, 1964 with the rank of Private First Class. Donald worked in the maintenance division for the Charlestown YMCA for several years.
Donald is the beloved son of the late Joseph C. Teixeira and June R. (Bradford) Teixeira. He is the devoted brother of retired Boston Firefighter Steven B. Teixeira and his wife Marjorie and the late Michael B. Teixeira. He is the loving uncle to Steven B. Teixeira Jr. and his wife Stephanie, Jill Finn and her husband James, Jason and his wife Jennifer, Bryan and his wife Kimberly, Amy and her husband John and great-uncle to Julia, Cristina, Aileen, Patrick, Benjamin and Evelyn.
Donald's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
