Evelyn F. (Mantia) DiMaiti, a life-long Medford resident died Friday in Florida after a brief illness. She was 74.
Born and raised in Medford, Evelyn is the daughter of Rose (Vesce) Mantia and the late Salvatore Mantia. Before retiring, Evelyn worked for many years as an administrative assistant for the Massachusetts Agency for Developemental Disabilities. Evelyn was also a member, with her husband, of the Boston Sons of Italy.
Evelyn leaves her husband Giusto “Gino” DiMaiti. She was the mother of Carl DiMaiti of Medford and the late Carol DiMaiti. She was a loving grandmother to Carol, Andrew and the late Christopher. She was a dear sister to the late Rosemary Leone and aunt to Cheryl Leone and Diane Giachino.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Thursday
At 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9.
