Joyce M. Krause (nee Rice) age 85
June 30, 1933-July 8, 2019
With saddened hearts our mother, grandmother and great grandmother was laid to rest with her husband Charles Krause at the National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts. Born a Canadian, she moved to Brockton, Massachusetts in 1971.
She worked in retail and in her later years she had private daycare in her home. In her senior years, Mom hosted yearly Tuesday Night Bingo at the seniors club house which held many parties, BBQs, yard sales, get togethers, pot luck dinners and Christmas in July celebrations.
Mom also enjoyed decorating the outside grounds of the seniors club and being with her circle of friends. She enjoyed doing many different crafts and if it wasn’t invented, she would think about it and put a twist to it.
In memory of our mother her friends gathered to show their respect and placed a figurine at the grove near the club house.
Not all of her ashes were buried in Bourne. Some ashes will be buried in Lequille, Nova Scotia with her mother Pearl, father Lance Cpl. Clarence E. Rice, and brother Clarence (Junie) Rice.
Please keep our mother in your thoughts and prayers. Mom, you are sadly missed and truly loved in our hearts. We love you
