Ernest J. “Ernie” Luongo Jr., 62 of Medford died Sunday after a long illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Medford, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford since 1954 and is the son of Marie (Albano) of Medford and the late Ernest Luongo Sr. Ernest was a clerk at the South Postal Annex in Boston for 30 years and retired in 1999. Mr. Luongo was a member of Medford American Legion Post 45
Cherished son of Marie (Albano) of Medford and the late Ernest J. Luongo Sr. Brother of the late Robert Luongo. Brother-in-law of Susan Luongo of Medford. Loving uncle of Juliann and Anson Butler, Anthony and Michelle Luongo all of Medford, Robert and Stacy Luongo of Montana. Great uncle of Vanessa, Katie and Justin Luongo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
