Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary Information
Mr. Walsh died Tuesday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Taunton, son of the late Edward and Catherine (Travis) Walsh, he had been a resident of Brockton for the past 55 years. He was a graduate of Taunton High School and a pharmacy college. During WWII he was a pharmacist in the US Navy in the Mediterranean. He had been employed as a pharmacist at the former Reardon Drug and Liggett-Rexall Drug Store, and was also a police officer in the Taunton Police Department for 40 years. He was a member of the VFW, Club National, an avid golfer and a member of the former Wedgewood County Club. He enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Jennie J. (GiaQuinta) Walsh, and many nieces and nephews
He was the brother of the late Edward, Joseph and Vincent Walsh, Margaret Dorrance and Catherine Walsh.
