…immigrated to the U.S. four years ago; 77
Jagdev Singh, age 77, a retired farmer from the Punjab Province in India, died peacefully in the care of his family and staff at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill on Monday morning, August 19. He was the beloved husband of Jasminder Kaur, with whom he had emigrated from India to live in the care of his son’s family in Billerica. He was born in Sangrur, Punjab Province, India, a son of the late Jagat Singh and Anand Kaur.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Ranjit Singh and his wife Kuldeep Kaur of Billerica; a daughter, Kamaljeet Atwal and her husband Lakhwinder Atwal on Vancouver, B.C., Canada; five beloved grandchildren, Amrinder, Amrita, Anmoll, Armaan, and Angadveer; two sisters, Gurbax Grewal and Blawinder Dhindsa both of India; a brother, Jassjit Singh of India; and many nieces and nephews.
A Sikh Prayer Service will be held Saturday, August 24, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Linwood, 41 John Ward Ave., Haverhill, MA, immediately followed by a Celebration of His Life in the Gurudhwara Sahib of Medford, 226 Mystic Ave., Medford, MA.
