New Bedford – Maria Carolina (Goulart) Neves, age 87, of New Bedford passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Garcia Neves.
Maria was born in Pico, St. Michael, Azores to the late Jose Garcia Goulart and Maria Conceicao Medeiros. She immigrated to the United States in 1969 where she worked as a stitcher for Cliftex.
She is survived by her son, John Goulart and daughter-in-law, Manuela Goulart; grandchild, Margaret DeMelo; niece, Cecilia Hadden and many other nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Rudy Goulart.
Maria’s visiting hours will take place on Monday evening, August 19th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral service and burial will be private.
