William George "Bill" Williams, 77, of Anderson died August 13, 2019 at his residence after an extended illness.
Bill was born July 22, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Earl G. Williams and Rose (Valenta) Webb. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in business then earned a masters degree in management from Ball State University.
Bill worked in Transportation at Guide Lamp for 31.8 years before retiring in October of 1996. He volunteered with the Salem Township Fire Department for 10 years. He was a member of Fall Creek Valley Gun Club; member of NRA. Bill was a Boy Scout leader. He had a good sense of humor and was a kind person who loved his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife, Juliann "Julie" (Jackson) Williams; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Jackson; two children, David (Dawn) Williams and Suzy Williams; three stepchildren, Lori (Mike) Rinker; Jayne (Sam) Manghelli; Jeff (Christie) Mason; eight grandchildren, Dylan (fiancée Katelynn) Williams; Madison Williams; Matthew (Laura) Morris; Keegan Rinker, Dr. Joshua (Dr. JoAnna) Manghelli; Kylie Manghelli, Ryder Mason and Evan Pierce; two great grandsons, Barrett Morris and Brendon Morris; sister, Barbara Benton; three sisters-in-law, Margy Brow; Millie (Danny) Warrum and Bobbi Crouch; brother-in-law, John (Tina) Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, son, Kenneth Williams; sister, Rosemary Kletecka; father-in-law, Robert Jackson, brothers-in-law, Mike Brow, Joe Crouch, George Kletecka and Edward Benton .
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 6 p.m. Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Christian Church.
