Anita T. (Malo) Kida, age 86, passed away on Aug. 10, 2019 at Agawam Healthcare surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 11, 1932 in Chicopee to the late Joseph E. and Marie A. (Froment) Malo. She was a graduate of Chicopee High School. Anita was predeceased by her loving husband Frederick P. Kida whom she married in 1952 at Assumption Church in Chicopee. She worked as a bookkeeper in her younger years at an Insurance Co. She then worked as a secretary at Mass Mutual from 1950 to 1957 and was also the secretary and treasurer of the Chicopee Youth Hockey Association from 1965 to 1971. Anita was a parishioner of St Stanislaus Parish and would also volunteer at Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen often. She leaves two sons, David P. Kida and his wife Lyn of Boyertown, PA and Alan F. Kida and his wife Laura of Agawam and also four grandchildren, Jillian, Lindsay, Jessica and Megan. She was also predeceased by one brother, Paul Malo and one sister, Claire Malo. The Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Agawam Health Care. Visiting hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Friday, August 16, 2019 from 8:00 – 9:30 AM at The Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Liturgy at 10:00 AM in St Stanislaus Church, 556 Front St., Chicopee with burial to follow in St Stanislaus Cemetery.
