FALL RIVER – Helena (Moreira) Medeiros, 78 of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. Born in Bretañha, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Jose & Maria (Borges) Moreira and the beloved wife of the late Francisco J. Medeiros.
Helena was a devoted parishioner of Espirito Santo Church, and a member of the Irmaos Do Rosario and the Irmandade de Nossa Senhora da Ajuda Bretañha. She also loved to spend quality time with her family and friends.
Helena was the mother of Maria Lane (husband Bernie) of Warwick, RI and Antonio Medeiros (wife Melissa) of N. Dartmouth, MA; sister of Jose Moreira and predeceased by Manuel & Amelia Moreira; grandmother of Britney, Hannah and Alex and aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Friday, Aug. 16th at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours on Thursday, Aug. 15th from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
