Cecilia "Sally" (Powell) Silva, 72, of New Bedford, passed away on August 10, 2019 in Rhode Island Hospital, with her family by her side.
Memorial services will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 5-7 pm.
Sally was born in Glendale, Arizona to Jesse and Elizabeth Powell on February 25, 1947. She married Lawrence Silva September 2, 1972 and together they raised 4 children.
Anyone who knew Sally will remember her for her quick wit, sharp tongue, and her ultimate devotion and protection of family. She loved spending time together playing games and cards with her friends and family and could always be found planning her next casino trip. Sally was an expert critic of “B” rated movies and was never one to miss the latest installment of the new Syfy series.
Sally is survived by Lawrence Silva her husband of 46 years, her four children, Scott “Kendra” Silva, Jonathan “Trisha” Silva, David Silva, and Holly “Erick” Medeiros, and seven grandchildren.
