TEWKSBURY - Crystal Lynn (Rocha) Whitney, age 59, a former resident of Tewksbury, died peacefully on August 10 at Life Care Center of America in North Billerica, in the loving care of her family and hospice, after a courageous ten year battle with Multiple Sclerosis and Breast Cancer.
She was born in Cambridge, March 1, 1960, one of three children of the late Custodio and Natalia (Costa) Rocha, and raised in Arlington, where she was a member of Arlington High School’s Class of 1978. She lived in Tewksbury for over 20 years, and was proud to be a “stay-at-home” mother. Crystal enjoyed music, her home and her family.
She leaves her devoted friend, Steven Moore of Wilmington; her beloved daughters, Lauren Reitano and her husband Joseph of Tewksbury, and Hillary Whitney of East Boston; her beloved grandson Lucas; her brother, Keith Rocha and his wife Kathleen of Rochester, NH; her former husband Daniel Whitney of Tewksbury; several nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her brother, Curtis Rocha.
