Mercedes Pinto of Somerville, MA after a brave battle with cancer, she peacefully passed into the rest of the Lord on Sunday August 4, 2019 at the age of 67.
Mercedes was the love and glue of her family each and every day with her love and generosity for everyone she touched. She greeted everyone with a smile, and devoted her life to care for her family.
She was the daughter of late Jose Prado and Maria Prado. She was the beautiful wife of Osvaldo Pinto and wonderful mother of Jefferson Pinto and his wife Luzia Pinto, Heriston Pinto and his wife Ani Pinto and Dayse Kumar and her husband Manish Kumar. She was the loving and caring grandmother of Andressa Pinto, Gustavo Pinto, Patrick Pinto, Tayla Pinto, Shivam Kumar, Maya Kumar, Ishan Kumar, Simrin Kumar, Sia Kumar and Krishna Kumar. She is also survived by her sisters Lourdes Peixoto and her husband Claudomiro Peixoto, Maria Lucia Prado, Carmen Prado and her husband Valdir Ribeiro, Marli Prado and her husband Osvaldo Nogueira, and her brothers Firmino Prado and his wife Vanda Prado, Adilson Prado, Sergio Famelli, Valquiria Prado and Jose Prado.
Services will be held at Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester St in South Boston, on Thursday 8/8/19 from 4pm-7pm. We will also provide a funeral mass at Saint Joseph Catholic Church located at 118 High Street in Medford, on Friday 8/9/19 starting at 11:30AM.
