TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Josephine DiPalma, age 87 died Sunday, January 15, at Saints Memorial
Medical Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Michael J. DiPalma, who died in 1981.
She was born in Framingham, February 4, 1918, but had lived in Tewksbury since 1942.
She was retired from the Tewksbury Hospital, where she had worked in laundry services, and was
a member of the A.F.S.C.M.E. Union.
She was a communicant of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell, and was a
member of the Transfiguration Philoptochos Womens Society. She was a member of the
Tewksbury Golden Age Club and in her later years was a frequent visitor to the Tewksbury
Senior Drop-in Center.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Ann and her husband William Zusin of
Westford, Josephine and her husband J. Daniel Connor, Gail and her husband Phillip Stone all of
Tewksbury, one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and his wife Maureen DiPalma of Salem, NH,
one sister, Mary Saluto of Las Vegas, NV, 9 grandchildren, Donna Bieren and Carolyn Russell of
Nashua, NH, Jeanne Connor-Osborn of Palm City, FL, Dr. Krissie Connor of Tewksbury,
Michael Stone, Michael DiPalma and Joseph DiPalma all of Salem, NH, Jeffrey Stone of
Tewksbury, Maria Baker of Haverhill; 9 great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Phyllis Sullivan
of York Beach, ME, Josephine Crickett of Jupiter, FL, Julia McCormack of Stuart, FL, Hope
DiPalma of Londonderry, NH, and Maureen DiPalma of Tewksbury.
She was also the sister-in-law of the late Mary Christiansen.
Her
Funeral Service was held Wednesday, Jan. 18, at in the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox
Church, Lowell. Burial was in Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to the Tewksbury Hospital, Recreation Fund,
