CHICOPEE ~ Frank R. Doe, 75, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Monday, July 29, 2019. He passed into Eternal Life at Wingate at West Springfield surrounded by all the memories he loved and cherished. He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on March 28, 1944, a beloved son of the late Charles E. and Christine (Findlay) Doe. He was raised in Chelsea and later lived for many years on Vincent Street in the Sixteen Acres section of Springfield. He was employed as a truck driver for Williams Distributing Company on Burnett Road in Chicopee. He was a longtime member of the Marksmen Drum Corps and the Alumni Drum Corps. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Claire L. (Bourassa) Doe who was Called Home on June 19, 1994. He leaves his two loving children, Jennifer L. Copeland of Springfield and Stephen F. Doe and his wife, Judith, of Hillsboro, NH; his three cherished grandchildren, Ashley Copeland-Navarro and her husband, Dennis Navarro, Taylor Henchey and her husband, Nicholas Henchey and Larrissa Doe; his three cherished great-grandchildren, Deanna Navarro, Dennis Navarro Jr. and Cameron Henchey; his dear sister, Charlotte Lamson of West Springfield; his dear brother-in-law, Donald Bourassa and his wife, Gloria, of Newport, NH; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Doe and Bourassa families. Besides his parents and his wife, he was also predeceased by his two dear brothers and their wives, Charles Doe Jr. and his wife, Ruth and Gilbert Doe Sr. and his wife, Dolores. His Committal Service will be held on Monday afternoon, August 19, 2019 at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, (Gazebo Section Q across from the pond), 895 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129.
