Mrs. Rosena H. Pento, age 89, of Peabody formerly of Woburn and Lynn, passed away January 13th, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of John J. Pento. Born in Portland, ME she was the daughter of the late Generosa (DeCarolis) and Ralph Saccocea.
Mrs. Pento was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a Woburn resident for more than forty years. Over the years she enjoyed spending time at the Woburn Senior Center and helping to organize many trips and outings. She also enjoyed bowling, knitting and crochet. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Rosena´s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pento is survived by her children, John A. Pento of Lynn, Rose Boveri and her husband Louis of Peabody, Louis M. Pento and his wife Joanne of Lynn, Linda M. Dyer and her husband Stephen of CA. She is also survived by seven loving grandchildren and five loving great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister, Emma Wocejewlitz of Townsend. She is preceded in death by her brother Louis S. Saccocea, and sisters, Almeda Werner and Julia Dunn.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Wednesday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 100 Washington, St. Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
