SOMERSET – Joseph M. Cunha, age 75, of Somerset, passed away at home on July 30, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Carmelia (Tavares) Cunha. Born in Faja de Cima, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Claudio) Cunha. Prior to retirement he worked for Taunton Silversmiths for over 25 years.
Along with his wife, Joseph is survived by his sons Richard Cunha of Somerset and Robert Cunha of NC; brothers Antone and John Cunha; 4 grandchildren Kelsey, Bethaney, Courtney and Kendall and 3 great-grandchild Kaiden, Austin and Ryder.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, August 2nd here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. John of God Church at 11 A.M. Cremation to follow.
