Anna “Nicki” (Almeida) Mulcahy, Nicki went home to the Lord on July 30th of 2019 at the age of 86 at the Life Care Center of Raynham surrounded by her family and her Life Care family. Nicki was the loving wife of the late James P. Mulcahy, daughter of the late Joseph & Mary (Sylvia) Almeida, stepdaughter of the late James Dugan and sister to the late Joan Almeida Hindle. Nicki was born in East Taunton, a graduate of Taunton High School and lived most of her life in East Taunton/ Taunton area. Nicki was well known in the City of Taunton for her many years of involvement with politics including the managing of campaign headquarters for some of the politicians. Through the years some of her jobs included working at the downtown Woolworths, Swanks, the Registry of Deeds, for Dr. Glass at Morton Hospital, but her favorite job, by far, was working in the Mayor’s office from 1976-1982. She also spent much of her life volunteering with the Special Olympics, PTA, and many other organizations over the years. Nicki loved the beach, was an avid bingo and cribbage player, enjoyed going to casinos, loved cooking and reading but her greatest joy was the time spent with her family. She was a “social butterfly” with a kind and loving heart. She will be deeply missed. She was the mother of James J. Mulcahy and his wife Carol of east Taunton, Kelley Nieviera and her husband Kenneth of Berkley, and Howard Mulcahy of CA, and the grandmother of Joshua Mulcahy, David Nieviera and his wife Katie, and Jacob Nieviera. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family Church in East Taunton on Saturday, August 3rd at 11:30am. Burial is private.
