At the age of 62 Susie entered the gates of Heaven on Monday the 29th to be reunited with her parents John and Rita (Levi) Waldie, her sister Carol Lermond, brothers Alexander “Sandy” Waldie, James Waldie, Michael Waldie, and her beloved dog Pokey. A long time resident of Andover, Susie lived most of her adult life with her brother Bob and family. She enjoyed family vacations, camping, visiting with relatives, playing cards, coloring and dancing the night away at birthday parties and weddings. Susie always had a positive attitude and enjoyed life. She fell in love with everyone she met and considered them family. She will be sadly missed by her brothers John and his wife Elizabeth Waldie of Derry, NH and Robert and his wife Susan Waldie of Andover, as well as her large family of aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Our family would like to thank the amazing staff at Fidelity House where Susie lived for the past two years. She received exceptional care and was loved and treated like family. Also a special thanks to Merrimack Valley Hospice for the great care and support given during the last few weeks of her life.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Burke - Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover. Susie’s Funeral will begin at the Burke - Magliozzi Funeral Home on Friday at 8:00 am, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church in Andover at 9:00 am, burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
