Obituary

CHICOPEE ~ Lorraine E. (Champagne) Brunelle-Hebert, 72, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, July 26, 2019. She passed into Eternal Life at Wingate at South Hadley surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on August 24, 1946, a beloved daughter of the late Anatole R. and Lillian M. (Martin) Champagne. She was raised in Westfield and graduated from Westfield High School. She moved to Chicopee in 1965 and had lived in the Willimansett, Aldenville and Ferry Lane sections of the city before moving to Fairview in 1998. She had worked as a manager of the One Hour Photo in Holyoke. During her leisure time, she enjoyed square dancing in her younger years and also enjoyed crafting ceramics. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rene H. Brunelle, who was Called Home on September 22, 1996; and her dear brother, Roland Champagne. She leaves her beloved husband, Raymond J. Hebert. They were married on November 8, 1997 at the former Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Willimansett and were blessed with over 21 years of happiness together. Lorraine will also be deeply missed by her two loving children, Brian H. Brunelle and his wife, Leslie, of Chicopee and Michelle R. Kaminski and her husband, Fred, of Southwick; her three loving step-children, Lisa J. Wilson and her husband, Chester, Scott M. Hebert and Amy L. Foster and her husband, Jeremy, all of Chicopee; her eight cherished grandchildren, Jake and Carter Brunelle, Cassandra, Stephanie, Abbie and Mickey Wilson, and Zachary and Mandy Foster; her brother, Robert Champagne and his wife, Sheila, of Westfield; her two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Nadeau and her husband, Leonard, of Ludlow and Pamela Yacubeck and her husband, Frank, of Holyoke; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Hebert, Brunelle and Champagne families. Her Funeral Service and Burial will be private for her family. Her funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
