Kenneth Gene McCreary, 92, of Anderson IN, died July 6, 2019, after an extended illness.
He was born on November 4 ,1926, in Anderson, the son of William Burgess and Tressie (Hittle) McCreary.
Ken married Doris Bowser, his lifelong love and companion in 1948.
He earned a Degree from Ball State University. He worked as an accountant for Anaconda Wire and Cable in Anderson, and later for RCA in Marion. In 1966, he and his wife owned and operated Real Life Playschool in Kokomo until their retirement and return to Anderson.
Ken enjoyed music, designing and building houses, landscaping, photography, drawing, canoeing, sailing and traveling.
He participated in Audubon Society activities.
He is survived by his children, Connie and Jeff McCreary, grandchildren, Steven and Michael McCreary and great-grandchildren, Alice and George McCreary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and his wife, Doris.
An informal Memorial Visitation for Ken and Doris McCreary will be held from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Park Place Church of God in the Covenant Room. No funeral services will follow.
