Benjamin F. Voles
Retired Market Basket Produce Manager

TEWKSBURY: Benjamin F. Voles, age 88, a resident of Tewksbury for 36 years, passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House on Sunday, July 21, 2019.

Born in Cambridge on October 14, 1930, he was the son of the late Anthony and Amelia (Manfra) Voles.

Benjamin was raised in Cambridge, attended Cambridge schools, and graduated from Cambridge Rindge High School.

In 1951, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was awarded the Army Occupation Medal (Germany) for his military service.

Prior to his retirement, he worked for 30 years for Market Basket. He retired from the Chelmsford store, where he served Produce Manager.
Mr. Voles enjoyed horse and dog racing, hunting and fishing.

He leaves five children, Eugene Doucette and his wife Debbie of Wakefield, David Doucette and his wife Linda of Wilmington, Lorna Lovell of Groton, Anthony Voles and his wife Angie, who reside in Germany, Sarah Lisa Kennedy of Chelmsford; his former wife, Sarah Quimby; grandchildren, Eugene, Jacqueline, Danielle, Steven, Carolyn, Nicole, Michael, James, Samuel, Emily, Sarah Beth, Melissa, Amanda, Jacalyn, Michelle, Kayleigh, and MaKenzie; nine great grandchildren, one nephew, and six nieces; also two former sons-in-law, Mark Lovell and Robert Kennedy.

Mr. Voles was the brother of the late Rose Cravines and Joseph Voles.
