Obituary

Worcester—Jean L. (Becker) Fisk, 69, died peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Saint Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank J. and Alice I. (Motland) Becker and was a graduate of Commerce High School, Quinsigamond Community College, and Worcester State College (Magna Cum Laude). She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, local history, following the Red Sox, trips to casinos, and traveling with her family and friends. She was an active and life-time member of St. Michael’s On-the-Heights Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Steve M. Fisk of Marlboro, Thomas C. Fisk of Lunenburg, and Peter C. Fisk of Clearwater, FL; her brother, Paul R. Becker of Holden; her sister, Kristine A. Gorczynski of Auburn; her granddaughter, Abigail Jean Toomey-Fisk of Northboro; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s On-the-Heights Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday Jan 16 from 5-8 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street.
