Obituary

Voncile Quinnette Bryant Taylor, 70, of Sylvester passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Phoebe Worth Medical Center in Sylvester. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Taylor at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Rob Patrick will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, July 19, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Robert Cressell, Kyle Cressell, Alvin Brooks, Timothy Bruner, Junior Arrington and Bob Gephart will serve as pallbearers.

Born October 5, 1948 in Colquitt County, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Frank Bryant and Alice Brooks Bryant. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Taylor; and one daughter, Monica Taylor Cressell; two brothers, Mark Bryant and Harvey “Buddy” Bryant. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends; and she loved her dog, Oreo. She also loved playing checkers, doing crossword puzzles, word search puzzles and fill in the blanks puzzles.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Jackie Taylor of Sylvester, who she married on November 15, 1968; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Vone Taylor, Edd and Marie Taylor and Dale Taylor, all of Tifton; one brother, Wyman Bryant of Tifton; two sisters, Lillian Youngblood of Ashburn and Lavonia “Punky” Wimberly of Moultrie; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Robert Cressell, Nicole Taylor Casey and husband Brian, Emily Cressell Waters and husband Ross, Kyle Cressell, Dustin Taylor, Meagan Taylor and Jerry Taylor; and five great-grandchildren, Aidyn Harris, Evan Adler Deal, Lainey Waters, Christopher Casey and Eli Waters.
