Joao Araujo Pires (83) of Brockton died July 9th in the Guardian Center. He was the loving husband of Maria DeFatima (Fonseca) Pires.
He was born in Sao Filipe, Fogo, Cape Verde son of the late Manuel Pires and Eugenia (Araujo) Pires. Joao was a emergency medical technician in his home country of Cape Verde. He loved to read the bible and socialize with family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by many sons and daughters, a brother Joaquim of Fogo, Cape Verde, a sister Francisca of Stoughton, many grand and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Tuesday July 16th at 11 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation in the Funeral Home Monday July 15th from 5-8 pm.
