Worcester- Helena (Paszuk) Rydziel, 94, formerly of 3 Jefferson St., died Wednesday, Jan. 11, in Oakdale Nursing Center, West Boylston.
She leaves two close friends, Kathryn J. Callahan of West Boylston and Irene Snopkowski of Worcester. She was born in Wilno, Poland, daughter of Kazimierz and Maria (Maczek) Paszuk and lived there before moving here in 1955.
Mrs. Rydziel was a cook at Worcester City Hospital for 14 years, before retiring in 1976.
She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, the Queen Elizabeth Society of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, # 1100, and the Queen Hedwig Society of the Polish National Alliance, # 758.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Memorial Fund, 34 Ward St., Worcester, MA 01610. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., is assisting with arrangements.
