Ellen M. (Arvidson) Obin, age 58, a lifelong resident of Weymouth, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Ellen worked as a medical secretary most of her life and loved gardening, interior decorating, reading, camping and visiting the White Mountains.
Ellen was survived by her children, Peter Obin and his wife Crystal of Holbrook, Anne Marie Obin and her fiancé, Kevin Light of Weymouth, Heather Cattabriga and her husband Lucas of Abington and her former spouse, Frank Obin of Abington. She was the sister of Elizabeth Arvidson of Weymouth, William Arvidson and his wife Denise of Lowell and Steven Arvidson and his wife Susan of Weymouth. Ellen was the proud grandmother of Nathan and Samuel. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her family, Ellen leaves behind her dear friends, Jeannie and Terry. Ellen is predeceased by her parents, Herbert “Hoopy” and Margaret “Peggy Arvidson.
Family and Friends are respectfully invited to a Celebration of Ellen’s life on Friday July 12, 2019 from 6pm -10pm at the Weymouth Eagles, 1338 Washington Street, Weymouth, MA 02189.
