Shirley R. Kelly, 94, of Scituate, died Friday, July 5, 2019 at Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late James E. Kelly.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Margaret E. ( Ward ) Cybulski. She had lived in Scituate for 56 years.
Shirley worked in the Scituate Post Office for 25 years where she was lovingly referred to as "The Sergeant”.
She is survived by her daughter Margaret Larson and her husband, Michael of Scituate, two sons J. Michael Kelly and his wife, Heather of Hanson, MA and Timothy S. Kelly and his wife, Victoria of Calabash, North Carolina, seven grandchildren: Megan Surdam, Roland Lane, Justin Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Sean Kelly Chris Kelly and Matt Kelly and four great grandchildren, Sofia, Olivia, Declan and Edith.
Private services will be held in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Greenville. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Overlook Nursing Home, Patient Activities Account, 14 Rock Avenue, Pascoag, RI 02859 where Shirley lived for the past three years and became part of their family.
